Dear Ambasidor Ushakov:

Congratulations to your government for raiding the criminal cult known as scientology. There are many victims of the cult in the US who support your actions.

Russia joins Greece, France, Germany and Spain in taking strong actions against this dangerous group. The figurehead president of scientology is facing a 30 year jail term in Spain for a long list of crimes there.

The US government raided scientology about 1978 and sent 11 top members to jail, including the founder's wife, for crimes which amounted to treason. Unfortunately, this is unlikely to happen again because scientology has used the courts to intimidate parts of the US government such as the IRS and FBI.

However, your government might be able to help the US government take action against scientology. It has long been rumored that the KGB paid scientology a great deal of money for regular access to the psychological files they created on engineers working in southern California. If these records could be located and made public, it might inspire strong action in the US against scientology, or at least blunt US government criticism such as the US has made against Germany and France.

Again, congratulations for taking strong action against this cult.
