> > Now that the school year is about to start again, let me remind you >of the toll-free number of Accuracy in Academia: > > 800-334-9141. > > Contrary to widespread disinformation in the media, Accuracy in >Academia does not want to single out liberal leftist teachers, but it >works to improve college education by reporting grave cases of inaccurate >teaching in our classrooms. After all, we pay those high tuition fees, >so we have a right to be taught the most accurate, up-to-date >facts available. Right. And I'm the Easter Bunny. I read one of their newsletters last year. It struck me as being rather fascist, in the McCarthyism sense of the word. One BIG blacklist. Accuracy in Academia seemed at that time to be singling out liberal teachers, while ignoring the rightist's completely (after all, they are a rightwing organization) What AIA is devoted to doing is NOT getting you the best education for your money, it is devoted to getting you the most conservative education for your money, something I don't feel is desireable. EVERYONE should call this number; WATS lines do cost money. If you want a good laugh, ask for their literature. (actually, it's more than a little scary when you think about it)
