Underpinned by Middle Eastern drones, complemented by percussion from the same, Plant's distinctive and superlative vocals, Page's legendary playing ... the ingredients create a whole far greater than it's parts. The new tracks like Yallah and Wah Wah create as much excitement for the listener as the recreation of the epic Kashmir, by far the album's signature track. Far from falling into the trap of self-indulgence most of rock's elder statesmen seem to be caught in, Plant and Page have genuinely pushed musical boundaries and pointed the way to future fusion possibilties. Rating: 9 1/2 out of 10" Brad bradt@slnsw.gov.au
