Donald Daae has recently been published by Genesis International Research Publishers. This book presents a new creation concept which united the geological earth sciences and the biblical record. Don Daae says, "Geologists, geophysicists, petroleum engineers and earth science people like this concept as it answers their questions on the subject of evolution and creation". For over 100 years the geological and archaeological earth sciences have been engaged in an unnecessary confrontation with scripture. When Charles Darwin published "The Origin of the Species" in 1859 and the science of geology stated that the earth was millions of years old, Biblical scholars and believers vehemently opposed both evolution and geology. Likewise, scientists opposed the narrow-minded biblical account of creation. Today, the fossil record is revealing the inadequacies of evolution as a scientific theory while the geological and biblical accounts of creation are becoming increasingly consistent and compatible with one another. "BRIDGING THE GAP: The first 6 Days" explains how the order of creation outlined in the Bible corresponds to the geological record. Furthermore, it proposes that the absence of the missing links sought by the evolutionists can readily be explained by the concept of "Special Creation". According to special creation, there were literally thousands of separate, successive acts of creation throughout the history of the earth. The place where each new species appear in the fossil record marks the approximate time that God created that species of life in adult form with the genetic ability to propagate offspring. The new creation concept outlined in "BRIDGING THE GAP: The First 6 Days" successfully accomplishes what it's title suggests - it breaks down the divisions that have separated science and religion, and provides a logical and reasonable approach to understanding the relationship between man's scientific interpretations and the biblical account of creation. <><><><><> ======================================================================== Some Background: ---------------- The Genesis International Research Association (G.I.R.A.) came into being on April 22, 1989. The Board of Directors chose to incorporate Federally, so that it could operate nationally or even internationally as time progresses. Says the Executive Director, Don Daae, P. Geol., "We believe the Lord has brought the G.I.R.A. into existence at this time. It's primary purposes are four-fold. 1) To give Honour and Glory to our Lord God, the creator of heaven and earth. 2) To demonstrate that the biblical and earth science records are completely compatible with each other. 3) To help fellow creationists find common ground and to bridge the gap between the biblical and geological earth science records. 4) To promote the objects of the Association." ========================================================================= GENESIS INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATION PUBLISHERS P.O.
