People from a tremendous variety of magical traditions in the St. Louis area
have finally decided that we've come under heavy attack often enough that
we've got to stand up for each other.
The result: the Alliance for Magical and Earth Religions. Until AMER gets
enough money to spare some for P.O. Box rental, they're using mine: 11220
West Florissant, Suite 288, Florissant, MO 63032. Over the next week, I'm
going to be putting a lot of stuff about AMER or by AMER into the
Metaphysical echo; I'd appreciate it if you read it.
In the mean-time: I have applied for and been approved for a group membership
in AMER on behalf of MagickNet. This doesn't mean that everybody who reads
MagickNet is automatically a member; it means that MagickNet has been around
long enough that AMER is willing to extend a group discount to interested
members.
Interested contributors should contact me for more information: in a
nut-shell, you'll need to fill out a simple membership form and send in
$5.00. That'll get you certain rights which will become clearer when I post
the Articles and Bylaws: the short form is that it gets you every financial
statement, at least quarterly (probably monthly), all of our published
literature, and the right to make proposals for projects to the Board of
Directors which MUST, by our bylaws, be considered and if approved, we MUST
try to match your proposal with our list of volunteers and (if necessary)
begin raising funds for it.
Please in particular read the Statement of Purpose in Metaphysical now.
