Confirmed. POBS, p.198 - he initially "handled" the death of Susan Meister. 
Also _Bare Faced Messiah_, p. 346: "On the morning of Thursday, 18 November, 
Arthur Maren arrived at the coroner's office in Las Vegas and introduced 
himself as director of public affairs for the Church [<spit>] of Scientology." 
- and Miller goes on to describe how Maren not only made the positive ID of 
Quentin Hubbard, but also handled all the arrangements through the GO.
