Since some of the materials which describe the $cientology cult could be
considered to be copywritten materials, I have censored myself and The
Skeptic Tank by deleting any and all possible text files which describes
the cult's hidden mythologies. I have elected to quote just a bit of the
questionable text according to the "Fair Use" legal findings afforded to
those who report. - Fredric L. Rice, The Skeptic Tank, 09/Sep/95

Jazzman claims anti-Scientology bias prevented performance
Agence France Presse
December 17, 1993 15:54 GMT
Jazz pianist Chick Corea is suing the German state of
Baden-Wuerttemberg for discrimination against him as a member of
the Church of Scientology, his lawyer said Friday.
Confirming a case had been lodged, a spokesman for the Stuttgart
court said it would probably not be heard until the New Year.
Corea claims the regional government broke off negotiations for a
performance it had asked him to give at the World Athletics
Championship in Stuttgart last August because of his religious
conviction.
His lawyers say there has been violation of the German
constitution and basic human rights as laid down by international
convention.
The regional authorities in Stuttgart have confirmed they asked
the agency organising a planned concert not to put Corea on the
bill, but said that no contract had been signed with him and that
they could invite who they wished.
The German media have published numerous articles critical of the
methods and practices of the Church of Scientology.
