Notice: Fredric Rice may have removed segments of the replies given to questions if they contained copoyrighted materials. After a very short while, Scientology "experts" refused to answer questions and started cut-and-pasting copyrighted cult propaganda. Additionally I removed URLs in some of the replies, and left them in others. And it's also important to note that eventually the unfortunate "Greg Churilov" cultist was ejected from askme.com for his typical Scientological behavior.

Subject: Hi, Spirit!

Anonymous asked this question on 4/24/2000:

Why do so many members of the "Church" of Scientology post questions here, the answers to which can be conveniently cut-n-pasted off of $cientology's official websites?

This has happened several other times, and in several other places on the net... For instance, L. Ron Hubbard has been voted "best author," &c. in a couple of internet polls, and his book rated "#3 of all time," &c. This happens when the "Church" of Scientogy [] ts the call out to all members to hit web sites and vote for LRH as many times as possible, to get LRH's ratings "up."

It's transparently obvious to everyone that the "Church" is doing it to attempt to increase LRH's "repute," so as to more easily con people into joining.

You decry the "critics." "Boo-hoo," you say, "they're harassing me. They're practicing religious intolerance! They're bigots!"

What you've failed to mention so far is that without the critics that ask you the hard questions, the only side being presented here would be the totalitarian, mind-controlling cult's side.

And we can't have that, can we?

All the best.KoX

Greg Churilov refuses to address the issues again, saying on 4/24/2000:

And I imagine all this is just constructive criticism from an objective, friendly, helpful soul :-) Spirit

[And in fact the cult has a policy that specifically orders followers to spam and flood newsgroups with Hubbard's insane paranoia - flr]

This web page (and The Skeptic Tank) is in no way connected with nor part of the Scientology crime syndicate. To review the crime syndicate's absurdly idiotic web pages, check out www.scientology.org or any one of the many secret front groups the cult attempts to hide behind.

Further facts about this criminal empire may be found at Operation Clambake and FACTNet.
