Notice: Fredric Rice may have removed segments of the replies given to questions if they contained copoyrighted materials. After a very short while, Scientology "experts" refused to answer questions and started cut-and-pasting copyrighted cult propaganda. Additionally I removed URLs in some of the replies, and left them in others. And it's also important to note that eventually the unfortunate "Greg Churilov" cultist was ejected from askme.com for his typical Scientological behavior.

Subject: I got the book 'What is Scientology'

RebaFan asked this question on 4/25/2000:

I took "spirit's" advice and I went to the Denver library and checked out the only Scientology book I could find, called "What Is Scientology." I've only rushed through it in about one hour, looking for stuff like "Xenu," alien space fleets, volcanos, nuclear bomb blasts, body thetans --- stuff I read about here.

Rather than my having to read the whole book, could someone tell me which chapter(s) this stuff is in? I have the paperback dated [?] perhaps you could let me know what pages I could look at.

The alternative is to read the whole thing, which I'm not really interested in --- my interest is in checking out to see if Xenu et al. and the stuff I read on this forum is the truth or some kind of prank.

Greg Churilov refused to answer any of these embarrassing questions honestly on 4/26/2000:

Come on, Rebafan. I have stated numerous times in this board and elsewhere, the Chuch of Scientology is not about UFOs, it's about self-betterment.

[Hubbard's Xenu and Body Thetan bait-and-switch scams were and are sold in the cult's "OT3" -- or "Operating Thetan Level 3" -- materials which cost a bundle.

So it's possible that this unfortunate Scientology "expert" simply couldn't scrape up enough cash to buy the fraud yet and as such might conceivably not actually know anything about Xenu.

If Greg ever does manage to purchase OT3, will he finally realize that his cult ringleaders have been lying to him all along? He's doubtlessly accidentally read quite a bit about OT3 on the Internet. If he manages to scrape up the cash to purchase OT3, will he finally realize that the good guys have been right all along? - flr]

Please do not twist my words to mean that I told you to go searching for fairy tales. The WHAT IS SCIENTOLOGY book is an excellent book and should enlighten you in regards to what Scientology is REALLY about. I hope you actually read it. best, Spirit

[And in fact the book doesn't cover what Scienbtology is actually all about. The reason is because people have to pay an extremely large amount of money for OT3 and the crooks would negate that revenue entirely if they told people what Scientology is really all about before hand - flr]
