I've run into some books that Scientology sells. One of them has me wondering if they're selling quack medicine claims. There's this book called "Alergy or asthma rundown auditor course," registration Number tx-3-160-859.

Does anybody know if this text contains quack medicine or practicing medicine without a license? Or is this all a non-medical proceedure?

Hmm. I thought I had declined this question last night, but I guess it didn't take.

Anyway, I don't have the book you mention, so my answer cannot be seen as authoritative. I suspect the official story from the church would be that their treatment only applies to cases of psychosomatic allergies or asthma. After all, it is claimed, Dianetics is supposed to be effective in curing all psychosomatic ills.
